Code of Conduct

This code applies to all startuplab members, partners, investors and employees.

The Startuplab community is strong because its members share a set of common values such as integrity, respect and accountability. The Startuplab culture is built on diversity, transparency and sharing – and in order to ensure that we maintain and encourage a culture that we all thrive in we have some basic guidelines:

CONFIDENTIALITY
Assume that all information shared by Startuplab members in non-public forums is confidential information. However, assume that all information that you share could be shared.

PAY IT FORWARD
Strive to help other members of the community to the best of your ability.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Keep your word, including honoring “handshake deals”, contractual obligations and the like.

MUTUAL RESPECT
Treat co-founders and community members with fairness and respect. Never harass or threaten any Startuplab community member or visitor. Harassment includes:
– Offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race or religion.
– Inappropriate physical contact, and/or unwelcome sexual attention.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU BREACH THE CODE?
1. Depending on the severity, a warning or immediate expulsion.
2. Upon 2nd infraction it is expulsion (or legal actions).

All team members in a company may be held accountable for the unethical actions of a single company employee, depending on the circumstances.

We chose you to be a part of our community, and we will stand behind you in the good times and the bad, as long as you behave ethically.

If you experience or witness a breach of this code, you are responsible for informing a member of the Startuplab team as soon as possible.
