Announcing the First Close of Startuplab Founders Fund V
We are thrilled to announce the successful first close of Startuplab Founders Fund V. After actively fundraising for four months, we have secured 154 MNOK with significant support from our investors, including those from previous Startuplab Founders Funds, key institutions such as Investinor and KLP, and a promising pipeline of additional investors. We expect to at least double the fund size before the final close.
By founders, for founders
The majority of commitments come from successful founders who are not only contributing financially but also offering invaluable advice, networks, and experience. This truly embodies the Startuplab Founders Fund formula of fostering Norway’s most attractive community of current and former tech founders. Many of our fund investors have previously been backed by Startuplab, and others, such as Geir Førre and Stratel, are valuable co-investors in several companies.
Our fifth fund is particularly noteworthy as it is the first to include follow-up capital for portfolio companies, enhancing our ability to support our portfolio founders.
Venture veteran Karl-Christian Agerup was the first investor in the fund. Reflecting on the importance of our work, Karl-Christian Agerup notes:

Our Investment Journey
Since 2013, Startuplab Founders Fund has been investing in ambitious Norwegian tech founders. Some of the companies we have supported include reMarkable, Otovo, Oncoimmunity, Photoncycle, ZEG Power, Ardoq, and FundingPartner.
Our investments span across Norway, and we are excited to soon announce the opening of applications for our Startuplab Accelerator. Although our incubators in Oslo and Bergen are exceptional communities for ambitious founders, our investments extend throughout the entire country. Cities like Trondheim, Stavanger, and Gjøvik boast several Startuplab portfolio companies.
